Debut Film Clip
The Tonights’ long-anticipated video for the single ‘Tiptoes’ is about to hit TV. Directed by DarcStorm (Andrew Close & Judd Tilyard) and featuring a classy, vivacious performance from lead singer Eva, the clip promises to be well worth the wait! We’ll upload it to the website after it’s premiered on the idiot box.
Limited Edition ‘Tiptoes’ EP
The Tonights are currently working on their limited edition Tiptoes
EP which will feature the album version of the song as well as
a number of remixes by the likes of Regurgitator’s
Benjamin Ely, Brisbane’s left-field electronica
guru The Nam Shub of Enki, and the UK’s
Go Home Productions (aka Mark Vidler) who has
remixed Blondie, David Bowie and the Kaiser Chiefs to name a few.
Rounding out this special one-off release will be a newly recorded
darker, piano-based interpretation of the song that Eva and the
lads have come up with.
My Space
In our limited cyber knowledge we still managed to realise that we were compelled to put ourselves up for global friendship building via the MySpace.com phenomenon. Hop along to www.myspace.com/thetonights and become our friend and post a comment! You can listen to some tracks and check out our upcoming gigs. We’ll be updating the page in the not too distant future with some more pics and stuff, so stay tuned.
Women in Song
Eva has been invited to perform at the inaugural Ipswich Festival Club Women in Song event on April 27th as part of the 2006 Ipswich Festival. Eva will sing solo songs as well as perform alongside other selected artists in what has become a highly anticipated event on the annual Ipswich Festival program.
Lockout Time!
The band are preparing to enter the studio again this July to begin work on their next release proper of new material. With the potential song-bag bursting at the seams, not a lot is confirmed at this stage, but it looks likely the group will release a mini-album/EP towards the end of the year, as a bit of a taster for album #2, due in 2007.
Compilations
The Tonights’ debut album has been receiving extremely positive
feedback via the airwaves and through invitations for inclusion
on various compilation albums. So far this year The Tonights
can be heard on:
‘Tiptoes’ on the AIR (Association of Independent Record Labels) Airplay Project Rock Sampler, March 2006
‘Drop the Ball’ on the AIR (Association of Independent Record Labels) Annual Compilation Vol 8., 2006
‘Tiptoes’ on the Sounds Like Café Vol. 8 Compilation, 2005
‘Big Sky’ on the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital Diabetes Education Resource CD and the ‘GYST’ DVD
